Privacy Policy

Stylery lets you upload a selfie and see yourself with a new hair color, cut, or beard. Your photo is sensitive, so we keep our handling of it deliberately narrow: we use it only to create your images, we delete originals from our servers right after your session, and we never use them to train models or sell them.

This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have. It applies to Stylery (the “Service”) and is written to meet GDPR and CCPA requirements.

What we collect

• Photos you upload. The selfie you provide so the Service can generate a new look. These are facial images and may be treated as biometric or special-category data under some laws.
• Account information. Your email address and basic profile, received when you sign in with Google.
• Usage and credits. Which templates you generate, credit balance and history, and basic technical logs needed to run and secure the Service.
• Payment information. When you buy credits, payment is handled by our third-party payment provider. We do not store your full card details.

How we use your data

We use your photo solely to generate the edited images you request. We use your account, usage, and payment data to operate the Service, manage credits, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. We do not use your photos or results to train any AI model.

How we handle your photos

• We don’t keep your full-resolution upload.One upload can be used to try several looks during a session; it’s processed in memory to create the looks you ask for and then discarded from our servers, with a short backstop window (no more than 24 hours) as a safety net.
• A small “before” copy is saved with each look. So you can see and share before/after comparisons of your looks later — including on another device or after you come back — we save a downscaled copy of the photo used for each look alongside that result in your private gallery. It follows the same retention schedule as the result (below), is deleted when you delete that look or your account, and is never used for facial recognition or to train any AI model.
• Your selfie is also cached on your own device.So you don’t have to re-upload every time you refresh or come back, your selfie is stored locally in your browser on the device you’re using; this on-device cache is not uploaded to our servers for session restore. When you tap Generate, your photo is sent to our servers and on to our image providers (below) solely to create the look you asked for. You can clear the on-device copy anytime from the studio, and we clear it when you sign out or delete your account — on a shared or public computer, clear it when you’re done.
• Generated results are kept in your account gallery for 7 days on the free plan, and for as long as your subscription is active on paid plans. If your subscription ends, your results are kept for a 30-day grace period and then deleted. You can delete any result at any time, and deleting your account erases everything.
• Any images on our servers are kept in private, access-controlled storage; you can only view your own files. The on-device cache described above lives only in your browser, never on our servers.

Who we share it with

To run the Service we rely on a small number of trusted service providers who process data on our behalf, including to operate the Service and generate your images. We never sell your data or share it for advertising.

• Image generation.To create your look, your photo is sent through our image-processing relay (apiyi) to OpenAI’s GPT Image 2 model. Under OpenAI’s standard API policy, inputs are not used to train its models and are retained for up to 30 days for safety monitoring before being deleted (narrow legal exceptions, such as detecting child sexual abuse material, apply). This processing takes place outside your home country.
• Face & color analysis. When you run a face-shape or color analysis, your selfie is sent through the same relay (apiyi) to a Google Gemini vision model, which reads your facial proportions and coloring and returns a structured result. Your photo is processed once to produce that result and is not stored by us or used to train any model. This processing takes place outside your home country.
• Infrastructure. We also use trusted providers for cloud database and image storage, sign-in, payment processing, and hosting. They process your data only to provide their service to us, under their own policies.

International transfers

Stylery operates internationally and your data, including your photo during processing, may be handled on servers located in the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can delete individual results in your gallery at any time, or delete your account to erase all of your data. To make any other request, contact us using the details below.

Children

Stylery is for adults (18+). You may only upload photos of yourself. Uploading photos of other people or of minors is not permitted. See our Terms of Service for the full rules.

Security

We use private storage, access controls, and short retention windows to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to limit how much of your data exists and for how long.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Service evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
